- `1/2 cup butter
2/3 cup flour 1 tsp salt and pepper 2 cups chicken broth 2 cups milk 3 cups cooked, shredded chicken 3 oz can sliced mushrooms, drained `1/2 cup chopped pimiento (may substitute with sauteed red pepper)

- In sauce pan, melt butter, blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add chicken broth and milk. Cook, stirring constantly until sauce is thick and bubbly. Add chicken, mushrooms, and pimentos. Heat through. Serve over biscuits, rice or toast.
