2 cups water

`1/4 cup sugar or honey (or more, if desired) 4 black tea bags `1/2 teaspoon vanilla 1 cinnamon stick 1 teaspoon ground cloves `1/4 teaspoon ground ginger `1/4 teaspoon ground cardamom (optional) 1/8 teaspoon ground nutmeg 2 cups milk

Instructions
In a medium-sized pot, bring the water to a boil. Add sugar or honey, tea, vanilla and spices. Reduce heat and simmer for 5 minutes. Remove tea bags, add milk and warm to a near boil. Remove from heat and serve in your favorite mug.
