Oatmeal Pumpkin Cookies with or without icing

This recipe has a lot of variations! Add an additional `1/2 c of oatmeal to make them thicker and less cake like. Substitute `3/4 c banana and `1/4 c yogurt if you don't have pumpkin.

Ingredients
COOKIES:

1 cup whole wheat flour 1`1/2 cup white flour `1/2 cup oatmeal 1 t baking powder 1 t baking soda 2 t cinnamon `1/2 t nutmeg (optional) `1/2 t ground cloves `1/2 t salt `1/2 cup butter 1`1/2 cup white sugar 1 cup pumpkin puree (can substitute banana) 1 egg 1 t vanilla GLAZE: 2 cup powdered sugar 3 T milk 1 T melted butter 1 t vanilla orange food coloring (optional)

Instructions
Preheat oven to 175°C. Combine flour, oatmeal, baking powder, baking soda, cinnamon, nutmeg, ground cloves, and salt in a bowl. Set aside. In a medium bowl, cream butter and sugar until creamy. Add pumpkin, egg, vanilla and mix until smooth. Add dry ingredients. Spoon onto greased cookie sheet and flatten slightly.

Bake for 15 to 20 minutes. Cook and then drizzle icing over top with a fork. To make glaze: Combine all ingredient in a small bowl. Add milk, as needed to achieve consistency for drizzling.
