Ingredients
4`1/2 t active dry yeast

`1/2 cup warm water (110-115°F) `3/4 cup warm milk `1/4 cup sugar `1/4 cup shortening or butter 1 egg 1 t salt 3`1/2-4 cups flour cheese slices, prepared sloppy joe meat, or lunch meat

Instructions
Dissolve yeast in warm water. Add milk, sugar, shortening, egg, salt and 2 cups of flour. Beat until smooth. Stir in enough remaining flour to form a soft dough. Turn onto a floured surface;knead until smooth and elastic, about 4-6 minutes. Place in a greased bowl, turning once to grease top. Cover and let rise in a warm place until doubled, about 30 minutes.

Punch dough down, divide into 16 pieces. On lightly floured surface, roll our each piece to a 4 inch circle. Top each circle with cheese and lunch meat or filling of your choice. Bring dough over filling and pinch edges to seal.

Place seam side down on a greased baking sheet. Cover and let rise in a warm place until double, about 20 minutes. Bake at 400°F for 8-12 minutes.
